About Gronks Gems

Gronks Gems is a slot game developed by Hacksaw, set on a 6x6 grid with cascading wins. The game centres around Gronk, a gem-loving cave troll. With each spin, winning clusters are removed, allowing new symbols to fall in. The potential top payout can reach up to 7,500 times the bet amount.

How to Play

  • The game uses a 6-reel grid format.
  • Place bets from £0.10 up to £2 per spin.
  • Adjust your bet using the arrows in the BET display.
  • Your balance, in your chosen currency, is shown in the BALANCE field and includes both bets and any winnings.
  • Begin a spin by pressing the SPIN button or by using the spacebar.

Winning Combinations

  • To score a win, form a cluster of at least 5 matching symbols connected anywhere on the grid.
  • After a win, the symbols involved are removed and new ones cascade into place. This continues as long as new clusters are formed on a single spin.
  • Payouts for winning clusters follow the paytable, and all combinations for a round are added together. The WIN field displays total wins from the round, with the highest win paid per individual cluster.

Game Features

Charged Symbols & Epic Gem

  • Symbols that are part of a winning cluster become charged and glow. Charged symbols are tracked in the charge bar above the grid.
  • These charged symbols remain in their state until the end of the active spin.
  • If no further clusters are formed and at least one symbol is charged, the Epic Gem scatter may appear after cascades. It transforms all charged symbols on the grid into the charged symbol with the highest value.
  • When the Epic Gem appears, all charged symbols are absorbed and count as one winning cluster. The Epic Gem itself represents 4 symbols in the cluster.
  • After absorption, the Epic Gem explodes, prompting another cascade.
  • The Charged Symbols feature is not active during the Gem Hoarder mode.

Gronk’s Treasure Feature

  • Activate this feature by landing 3 Gronk’s Head scatter symbols in the base game.
  • Awards 10 free spins.
  • During these spins, the chance of Epic Gem symbols appearing is higher than in the base game.

Gem Hoarder Feature

  • Enter this mode by landing 3 Gem Bag scatter symbols in the base game.
  • Receive 5 refilling free spins.
  • If 3 Gem Bag symbols appear during the feature, all 5 free spins are refilled.

Progressive Global Multiplier in Gem Hoarder Mode

  • In Gem Hoarder mode, every winning symbol removed increases a global multiplier.
  • Clusters that touch the X-Gem symbol are multiplied by the current global multiplier value.
  • If more than one X-Gem symbol connects to a cluster, the multiplier applies for each X-Gem symbol present.

Special Symbols

  • The Epic Gem does not appear in Gem Hoarder mode.
  • The X-Gem symbol acts as a wild, substituting for all paying symbols. It is available only in Gem Hoarder mode.

Free Spins Information

  • The WIN field shows the total win for each spin.
  • The TOTAL WIN field displays the sum of all wins across free spins.

Maximum Win

The largest possible win is capped at 7,500 times the bet amount. If this maximum is reached, the round will end immediately, awarding the winnings. Any remaining free spins or bonus features will not continue, and the game will revert to the base game.

Other Information

The game's return to player (RTP) is displayed within the game itself.
