To play the game:

On the entry screen, press PLAY to start the game.
Press the plus or minus below TOTAL BET to choose the total bet.
The total bet shows how much is being bet in total on a single spin.
Press SPIN to spin the reels with the current bet.
In the case of a winning spin, the WIN field displays the accumulating winnings.
On a given payline, only the highest winning combination pays while simultaneous winnings on different paylines are accumulated.
All wins shown in the paytable are relative to the current bet.

Paylines:

Active paylines are represented by lines that appear over the reels as illustrated in the paytable.
Wins can only form on active paylines.
Winning combinations must start from the leftmost reel, and the same symbol has to be on every consecutive reel.

Wild symbol:

The Skull Wild and Cannonball Wild symbols can stand for any other symbol, to make the best possible winning combination.
There is also a separate payout for 3 or more Wild symbols on an active payline, as seen in the paytable. This is paid out instead of the regular symbol win if the win amount from Wilds is larger than the win from the regular symbols (by Wild standing in).

Cascading reels:

Any winning combination triggers the reels to cascade.
All winning combinations explode after paying out.
Each wave can create new winning combinations for another wave and even more wins.

X symbols:

During the base game and in free games, 3 X symbols move to random positions before the reel symbols land. During cascades, the X symbols remain locked in position.
Achieving a winning symbol combination above an X symbol will trigger a dig, revealing a map piece and removing the X symbol from the reels.
Collecting all 3 map pieces in a single base game spin triggers free games.
During free games, digs reveal chests which contain prizes.
Digs can only occur once per X symbol, per spin.

Free Games:

Collecting all 3 map pieces from digs in the base game will award 10 free games.
During free games, digs reveal chests which may contain:
- Cash prizes - Awarded to total win.
- Multipliers - Once collected, apply to all subsequent reels wins.
- Skull Wilds - Substitute for all symbols and remain persistent for the remainder of free games, spawning in random positions for every new free game.
- Free games - Awards extra free games.
- Thundershots™ - Awards 5 Thundershots™ spins.
Free games ends when there are no games remaining.
Digs can only occur once per X symbol per spin.
Multipliers do not apply to chest wins.
Skull Wilds spawn in random positions on a new free game, and not on any subsequent cascade.
A maximum of 10 Skull Wilds can be awarded during free games.
Free games cannot retrigger during free games.

Fire the Cannon:

During any spin or cascade, including during free games, a cannon may randomly appear.
The fuse will start burning. If the fuse burns all the way down, then the cannon will randomly fire up to a maximum of 15 Wild symbols onto the reels, replacing symbols already there.
Wild symbols substitute for all symbols.

Thundershots™:

Thundershots™ can be won from a chest in free games.
Thundershots™ will begin after all free games have been played.
Press the spin button to spin the Thundershots™ wheel, or press and hold to make the wheel spin automatically.
Prizes on the wheel consist of cash wins, extra Thundershots™ spins, and free games.
The first time you land on a feature segment, you will win the feature, which will be played at the end of the Thundershots™ feature.
Landing on the same feature segment again will increase the multiplier you play the feature with by one.
During free games, the Thundershots™ feature can be won again.
Nothing is awarded for landing on an empty segment.
The outcome of any spin is not necessarily that shown by the odds displayed.

Return to Player:

The theoretical percentage return to player (RTP) is 93.13%.
The RTP value is the theoretical return to player, calculated by dividing the total winnings by total amount bet from 1000000000 simulated game rounds.

Note on disconnections:

If you are disconnected from the Internet during:
- A spin, the reels will display the result after you reconnect and any winnings will be added to your balance.
- A bonus feature or the triggering spin, you will be automatically directed to the feature after you reconnect.
