Game Overview

Rich Wilde and the Tome of Insanity is an online slot created by Play'n GO. The game is set on a 5x5 grid, featuring a cascading mechanism where winning symbols are removed, and new ones fall to fill the empty spaces. Players can select bets ranging from £0.10 up to £5.00 per spin. Complete details about the game's returns are displayed within the game's interface.

How to Play

To play, use the plus and minus buttons to set your desired bet amount within the allowed range. Begin each round by clicking the SPIN button. Symbols will drop onto the grid, and your winnings are determined based on the paytable and the symbols that land. After each win, new symbols cascade into the grid, potentially creating further winning combinations. The round continues until no new wins are formed.

Winning Combinations and Clusters

Wins are awarded for clusters of four or more identical symbols that connect either horizontally or vertically, with no gaps between them. Winning clusters can begin anywhere on the grid. All cluster wins, as well as any winnings from features such as Free Spins or Bonus Games, are combined at the end of each round. Only the highest win per cluster is paid. The bet you use will carry through Free Spin rounds if they are triggered during play.

Special Symbols

  • WILDS: Substitute for all other symbols to help form winning clusters.
  • BOOK WILD: Has the potential to trigger portal effects.
  • MULTIPLIER WILD: Offers multipliers of 2x, 3x, 4x, or 5x in the Base Game and 2x, 3x, 5x, or 10x in the Bonus Game. Only the highest multiplier in a cluster is applied. When both MULTIPLIER WILD and YOG-SOTHOTH WILD are present, their multiplier values are multiplied together.
  • YOG-SOTHOTH WILD: Appears as a 2x2 WILD and moves three times across the grid.

Game Features

  • All-Seeing Eyes: In the base game, an ALL-SEEING EYE may appear. If a win lands on its position, it opens and awards 2–4 BOOK WILDS once cascades finish. In DAMNATION FREE SPIN, 12 normal and 6 special Eyes appear. Opening each ALL-SEEING EYE summons the YOG-SOTHOTH WILD; additionally, opening 4, 5, or 6 ALL-SEEING MULTIPLIER EYES applies respective 2x, 3x, or 4x multipliers to it.
  • Portal: Each winning symbol charges the Portal. At 8 charges, 2–4 BOOK WILDS are awarded; at 16 charges, another 2–4 BOOK WILDS are added. After these triggers, the HARVEST effect may activate, destroying symbols at set diagonal and straight locations if possible. At 30 charges, 2–4 BOOK WILDS are awarded, along with the ABOMINATION effect, which upgrades a gem symbol to a ritual item. Reaching 48 charges awards the DAMNATION FREE SPIN feature.
  • Damnation Free Spin: Attained with 48 Portal charges, this feature is played with 3 Portal effects. The Portal can be overcharged to get an additional effect for every 4 extra winning symbols, up to a maximum of 7. When cascades end and no further wins land, a random Portal effect will activate, and this continues until all effects have been played. The feature concludes once all effects are used.

Unfinished Games and Malfunctions

If a round is interrupted, all bets and game information are saved. You may resume your game at the same point if you return later. Bets that remain unresolved for 90 days in incomplete games will become void. Any malfunctions during play will void all pays and plays from the affected round.
